The XA2 was produced in Tokyo Japan from 1980 -1986
This lightweight 200g camera is packed with quality features. The cameras lens is the Olympus D-Zuiko 35mm f/3.5 made up of 3 elements. The XA2 is a zone focus camera – closeup ( 1.2m-1.8m) Near(1.2m) Far (6.3m – infinity) The camera resets to the Middle focusing to its default every time you closed the lens lid.
The default mid focus setting is the best setting for most pictures. Exposure if fully programmed, a green warning light will illuminate when it detects low light conditions. This is to warn you that the camera will select a slower shutter speed. 
The basic camera has no flash but you can purchase the A11 flash unit that just clips on to the righthand side of the camera. 
 
Cosmetically the camera is in good condition. There are signs of wear on the film door with paint loss. The camera has a self-timer and battery check switch located on the cameras base plate. Note: the battery check is not working. This will not affect the normal operation of this camera. I have fitted new 2x LR44 1.5v button cell batteries.
