This vintage 1976 Helios lens is in good condition.
This 44 model is a derivative of the Carl Zeiss Biotar optical formula.
It’s just a good old solid USSR build quality lens.
The optics are bright clear.
The iris operation is correct, smooth blade operation. light oil on aperture blades. ( No problem )
These lenses produce very good sharp images and can even outperform some modern-day lenses.
The lens is M42 screw mount and in full working order,
