Voigtlander Vitessa-T 35mm Rangefinder Camera
Voigtlander Vitessa-T 35mm Rangefinder Camera
Serial Number:4211736
The Voigtlander Vitesa-T rangefinder camera was produced in Braunschweig Germany from 1957-59.
This model was the replacement of the earlier folding Vitessa models.
The obvious difference is the “T” has a rigid body and so replacing the Barn doors. The rangefinder uncoupled selenium cell meter ( light meter responsive to light changes ) and the plunger rod film advance mechanism are the same. The Vitessa T has the option of interchangeable lenses which sit on the Synchro-compur leaf shutter system 1-1/500. This camera comes with the Color-Skopar f/2.8 50 standard lenses. Focusing is achieved by a ring around the lens instead of the thumbwheel operation present on the last model.
Cosmetically the camera is excellent and still retains its new look.
The f/2.8 50 Color-Skopar lens works fine with super clear optics.
The downside to the camera is the shutter is erratic and works when it feels like it. ( so sold as is )
The camera comes with all that's in the photos, which is most of its original packaging Box and literature.
This is one beautiful camera and a mechanical work of art.
